The National Aviation Academy of the Philippines (NAAP) conducted a Two-Day Gender and Development (GAD) Planning and Budgeting Workshop on September 29–30, 2026, at the Monte Vista Conference Resort.
The workshop featured lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities designed to strengthen participants’ understanding and application of gender-responsive planning and budgeting. Key topics included Understanding Gender Analysis Frameworks, Gender-Responsive Planning and Budgeting, and the Mainstreaming of Gender in Programs and Projects through the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG).
The activity also provided an avenue for the updating of the 2027 NAAP GAD Plan and Budget, ensuring that the Academy’s programs, projects, and activities continue to integrate gender-responsive approaches in support of inclusive and responsive institutional development.
Serving as Resource Person was Genesis Giselle T. Baseleres, University Research Associate II of the UPLB Gender Center, with Jimboy C. Altoveros and Jerica Mae S. Casipit, Junior ICT Assistants, serving as Facilitators.
Through continuous capacity-building, NAAP strengthens its commitment to gender-responsive governance and an inclusive learning and working environment for the entire NAAP community.
